However, the only one he could reach in time was the future in which he would become the Magus... a timeline he'd worked hard to ensure would never come to pass. Star-Lord, Mantis, Jack FLag and Bug are rescued from the Magus' Universal Church of Truth by Kang. He's recruited the Starhawks of the many timelines who have already fallen to the Magus in an attempt to fight his influence over the future. The Magus is causing all future timestreams to merge, ensuring his reign. But these four Guardians of the Galaxy are anomalies that he can't foresee. Kang plans to send them back in time to the moment that Adam became the Magus. Armed with a Cosmic Cube, he tells them that they have to do whatever it takes to stop the Magus. |
