| Dr. Donald Blake is touring a small town when he overhears a frantic fisherman telling a tale os stone men from Saturn that have come to conquer Earth. Deciding to investigate, Blake heads back in the direction the fisherman came from, and learns that he was completely correct. Blake tries to escape unnoticed, but accidentally snaps a twig, drawing the attention of the invaders. Fleeing from the aliens, Dr. Blake tries to hide in a cave, as his mobility would have been limited even if he hadn't lost his cane. He discovers a secret chamber at the back of the cave, where he picks up a walking stick that transforms into Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. The inscription reads: "whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of... Thor!" Blake is transformed into Thor itself, who proves to be a far more challenging opponent than the regular members of the U.S. military. The Stone Men flee back to Saturn. | ||
