| Fighting off the Z'Nox drove Professor X into a coma. The X-Men deduced that Bruce Banner might be able to cure him, so they sought and briefly battled the Hulk, before he transformed back into Banner and was able to revive Xavier. All of this was observed by the coldly calculating eyes of the Leader, a gamma enhanced genius. Professor X has analyzed the device Banner built and discovered it requires a telepathic component to function. The echo of Banner's torment, conveyed through the device, drives the Professor to perfect the device so that he can help the Hulk. To that end, the X-Men explore one of Banner's hidden laboratories, while miles away, Bruce Banner enjoys a home cooked meal, a rare treat for him. Then noises tear apart the night's silence, and the Hulk begins to emerge; Bruce warns his hosts to flee! The X-Men zero in on a gamma burst, but they have not found the Hulk - they have found the Abomination! Oops... |
