| Nomok and Mardak head into the wormhole, intending to kill themselves and take the wormhole with them, freeing their people. Dax and O'Brien use the Rio Grande to push the stolen Ganges out of the other end of the wormhole just before it explodes. Further explosions on the station damage Quarks, while the slavers take a friendlier approach, trusting that the slaves destructive attempts to get free will lost necessary favor on the station. Rogon's underlings have taken control of the Liberator, apparently changing its name to Emancipator, and attack the station, turning its own defenses against it. Dax and O'Brien use this sabotage against them, disabling and damaging the Emancipator or Liberator or whatever it is called. In the wake of betrayal and destruction, the surviving slaves decide to voluntarily return to their own lives, and it is treated like a happy ending. |
