| In a state funeral, Steve Rodgers is laid to rest. In a ceremony normally reserved for the death of a President, his casket is drawn to Arlington Cemetary by a single white horse with no rider. Sam Wilson delivers an elegant eulogy for the deceased hero, as the eyes of the nation look on. Later, at a private ceremony attended only by the founding Avengers who were able to make it, Captain America's body was returned to the icy waters from which Namor removed it years ago.
