Saga-----
Johnny rides a lonely, rainy Pennsylvania road when a young woman appears. He gives her a ride. Later, he stops to help a motorist with car trouble - a ploy! The motorist and his drunk friends beat Johnny for the fun of it, and he can't stop them because he's struggling to keep the Ghost Rider inside. But after they roar off, Johnny can't keep the rider chained any longer! He emerges, chases down the men. And then something seems to push the Rider back inside. The girl points to a house where Johnny can rest. This is the home of a bitter woman, Veronica Stanton. She lost her husband to sickness, her son to war, and her daughter to a drunk - a crime for which she was denied justice. Johnny goes to town and there meets store clerk Jock Parker. Johnny doesn't remember Parker is one of those who beat him, but Jock remembers him! Veronica knows Jock, too - as the drunk who killed her daughter. For his part, Jock blames his low station in life on everyone else. He gathers his friends and they go to the Stanton house. They overpower Johnny, and Veronica gets a shotgun. The mysterious woman appears - she is Veronica's daughter Sally, returned from death so briefly to teach her mother about vengeance. She unfetters the Ghost Rider! He beats the men mercilessly, until Veronica asks him to stop. For a moment he pauses, but then... he backhands the old woman and continues the beating. Sally steps forward - she is a power the Rider cannot vanquish. He fades, leaving Johnny behind. Sally must go, and cannot return. But her mother and Johnny must live...
