| Doombringer has brought Khotain and its neighbor Dhakran to the brink of war as revenge for Uni-World Trading's actions that cost him his family. Misty and Colleen, hired by Uni-World to retrieve a briefcase, are captured and only then discover the nature of Uni-World: a front for a spy organization seeking to smuggle weapons into Dhakran! Luke and Danny search for Doombringer. Their search fruitless, they next move on a Uni-World office and the cringing Mr. Tinker there, and learn that they are spy agency without official sanction! Tinker, threatened, explains their plan to foment war and regain power, and all it will cost is a few lives, including those of Misty and Colleen! They fly one of Tinker's planes to Khotain and rescue the ladies of Nightwing. Now they must escape, as that nation prepares a strike to capture Dhakran's missile base on behalf of its Russian allies! The Heroes can't let that happen; they visit the base only to discover Doombring and both Middle East leaders already there. And the base full of Russian-made missiles. It seems Taylor is working for the other side! Doombringer now means to use these to erase both nations! Luke and Danny stop him, barely, and tensions begin to abate. For now.
