| "The Hands of the Mandarin" - Iron Man is asked to travel to China to investigate the Mandarin, a powerful threat both politically and physically. He does, though it means asking Happy to escort Pepper to a dinner instead of doing it himself. Once in China, he finds that the Mandarin is a difficult enemy to deal with, as the man is familiar with technology, a master of karate, and the wearer of ten powerful rings. Iron Man is powerful enough to escape, but he was certainly not victorious. "Them!" - A man runs through the city in a panic, trying to escape from "them," some set of assailants that only he can see. Locked in a sanitarium for his own protection, he soon vanishes in a manner that confuses even his keepers. "Tales of the Watcher: Journey's End!" - Wilbur Weems is not the world's bravest man. He's meek and frequently taunted by others. When a scientific suicide mission is proposed, he volunteers to go, as he feels he is the man with the least left to lose. However, the mission is not as deadly as anticipated. | ||
