Thor broods over Odin's disappearance. When the Vizier fails to find Odin "upon all the many spheres and planets," Thor wonders if the All-Father is dead. He journeys to Valhalla, where his horse dies. Proceeding on foot, Thor encounters Harokin and the Einherjar who, outraged that anyone living would enter Valhalla, attack. During the battle, Thor spies a shadowy figure on a mountain that he believes is Odin but the Einherjar fell him with the Troll-made Bludgeon Bow before he can investigate. Rising again, Thor fights his way toward the shadowy figure but Hela intervenes and assures him Odin is not there. Unbelieving, Thor climbs the mountain only to discover that the figure is Grombar, an aged warrior. Upset and depressed, Thor wearily heads back to Asgard. |
