| Eric, having seen his personal nightmare appear again before his eyes, freezes up. The man who nearly killed him - Mongoose. Bison faces off against DePaul while Quicksand battles Cage. Shamari has followed Thunderstrike and Cage into the tunnels trying to find Billy, only to reel in shock and horror at what he's become. Young Kevin Masterson is at school, when a mysterious figure tells him that he can have his hearts desire, Bobby Steele not being traded to the west coast, as long as a contract exists between them, and Kevin signs. Eric is trying to fight back against his own fears, and looks to Thor for inspiration. Quicksand takes Shamari hostage in her battle with Cage. Up above, S.H.I.E.L.D. puts Inferno 42 into a the secure base and then floods it, flooding the combatants as well. Bison sees Quicksand holding Shamari and attacks her, smashing his hands together Hulk-style and sending her flying apart. Having regained his composure, Eric blasts Mongoose with an intense light-burst, blinding him completely. Eric then begins to beat him down, but when the floodwaters come, Mongoose jumps into the water claiming he'd rather drown and rot in prison. Thunderstrike gathers the others and Bison around him and transports them to the surface, where DePaul tells Agent Vol 1 22 that the intruders escaped. |
